Business processes 'improve with comms'

One analyst has examined the many broad benefits of adopting communications-enabled business practices (CEBP).

IT Director defines CEBP as the integration of unified communications into business process management to enable multiple modes of communication within commercial structures.

Commenting on TMCnet, Alan Rosenburg asserts that in implementing CEBP - by "marrying real-time communications with business processes" - firms can provide better customer services, streamline business communications and improve productivity.

Some of the many benefits include interactive notification services using unified communications deployments which allows businesses and organisations to coordinate staff and inform customers of important announcements in real time via email, voice or messaging services.

Customer call routing is also greatly improved by CEBP, with presence functionality allowing callers to be "automatically connected to the person who is best suited to help them based on business function, skills and availability", Mr Rosenburg asserts.

He claims that ultimately, CEBP is enabling enterprises to stay ahead "in today's ever-competitive global economy" with the provision of state-of-the-art customer services and business communications infrastructure.
