VoIP options for SMEs 'growing'

Small and medium sized business enterprises (SMEs) have a growing number of options when it comes to adopting hosted VoIP call systems, it has been suggested.

Comms Business magazine reports that the VoIP market is increasingly looking to cater for the needs of the smaller business, with recent research by analyst MZA noting that companies with between 11 and 30 employees accounted for 31 per cent of business VoIP sales during the third quarter of 2007.

The publication notes that some analysts are predicting significant further growth in the coming months.

One analyst notes that many SMEs are choosing VoIP in order to consolidate communications strategies and reduce operating costs, while encouraging growth and productivity.

In conclusion, the online resource notes that in the future SMEs could see further functionality available at a lower cost as a result of increased vendor competition.

Meanwhile, Processor.com advises companies looking to adopt VoIP to establish which vendor's service will be best suited to their business needs.
